A CRACK OF LIGHT

we did burn

the bridges down

It was to keep

fire alive

stay out of the cold

we danced to forget

as long as I live

I won’t forget

what we had

before the dawn

what we got

was kind of love

there was the fight

for a crack of light

and when the walls came

finally down

shining hard

that violent sun

endless wars

in your head

countless doors

you walked through

in search for peace

we laughed to forget

never get old

the way you said

stay with me

until the hurt is gone

what we got

was kind of love

there was the fight

for a crack of light

and when the walls came

finally down

shining hard

that violent sun

you ran from yourself

through the days

comforting sound

was the sound of the drums
